Update: Portland, Oregon casting date for the lead role in VINTAGE will be Sunday, February 19 in Corvallis and the PDX date has been changed to SATURDAY, February 25.
Bruno Tannenbaum is the James Bond of wine–if the James Bond of wine is a washed-up food critic who lives with his mother. But Bruno has one last shot at resurrecting his career: the secret to a famous vintage of wine stolen more than 60 years ago by the Nazis, if only he can get there before his rival critics and the Russian mafia. Vintage is a comedy-adventure for the Sideways crowd.
We are currently casting to film the opening sequence with a goal of finding financing to independently produce this feature film in Oregon. Bruno is a 45-ish wine writer and food critic with a gambling problem. He’s part lush and part philosopher, with a good heart, a silver tongue and a knack for screwing up. Drop us a note if you’re interested in learning more.
Vintage is an award-winning script, and this will be a paying gig. We’re looking for actors interested in hanging in for the long process of financing and making an ambitious indie feature. Drawing from our experience making a documentary about wine, our aim is to make a classic and completely original food and wine film.
